On behalf of the more than 1,500 members of the First National team, I want to take this opportunity to both thank you for your business and wish you all the best for the holidays.
This has been another active year as the Québec economy recovered momentum lost in the early days of the pandemic and our commercial property markets in both Montréal and Québec City (and environs) attracted strong capital inflows. For First National, this meant record volumes for both our core conventional and insured mortgage products.
Our hope and expectations are that good fundamentals will prevail next year and that you will be the beneficiary.
In the meantime, I thought you would be interested to know that First National is growing – again. In the first week of January, we will welcome two new members to our team. These appointments will be officially announced at that time. These experienced professionals are committed to our culture of excellence and will help us to expand our horizons. Investing in local resources is also a demonstration of our confidence in the future.
January should see the continuation of our gradual return to the office. We look forward to the safe resumption of non-virtual ways of meeting you.
As lenders, we are committed to Québec and have been for years. We pride ourselves on consistently providing capital but also the expert local advice and certainty of execution upon which you can depend.
We very much enjoy playing a role in your business, and we extend to you and your family best wishes for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2022.
